Samantha Hamilton
I majored in Visual Arts at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA where I learned the fundamentals of visual communication, project management, and design. After receiving my BFA, I took a little time to travel the world. I had the opportunity to meet new people from all walks of life, and from many different places; I learned how they worked, played, and communicated.
After living in Europe for nearly a year, I came home and began studying UX design and Web design at Seattle Central College. Entering the tech industry was a breath of fresh air for me. It’s so exciting and rewarding to work on projects that improve people’s lives. In my career, I’ve had the chance to work on projects that help people study, help them sleep, help them to quit smoking, and help them to look (and in turn feel) their best. I’m currently working at Crowdstrike and helping people secure their data, which is very rewarding. The level of positive impact I can have on the world through digital technology inspires me every day and keeps me doing design work that I love.
Here are a few other things I love to do (usually with my two dogs, my son, and my husband): hiking, mountain biking, camping, road tripping, rock climbing, traveling, kayaking, surfing, cooking, reading, laughing.
